High availability video display
The Command Server is a rapidly deployable application for monitoring video feeds in command center and other 24X7 monitoring environments. The Command Server allows each operator or application to control the video being displayed on multiple local and remote monitors.
The Challenge
Command Centers need to have coordinated viewing of multiple camera feeds at one time, and the ability to switch manually or automatically between feeds and display patterns. They also can require integration of video with other intelligent sensors and systems. Digital video systems have typically required that the video be transformed back to an analog signal for display and switching through a traditional matrix switch, limiting the scale and flexibility of the system.
The Solution
The BroadWare Command Server (BCS) is a digital matrix switch that allows each operator and intelligent application to control the video being displayed on any number of monitors, both local and remote. The operator can choose between an unlimited number of available cameras to be displayed on any number of monitors, with a selectable number of videos per display.
BCS is easily integrated with other systems to automatically display video in response to a pre-selected trigger, such as access control or fire system for buildings, or outdoor motion sensors and UAV feeds for military. It brings complete flexibility to the delivery of live and archived video to demanding command centers, providing high-availability access to network video for 24x7 monitoring applications.
